FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JANUARY 9, 2009 | 2:00 PM EST

CARMEL, INDIANA – Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc., announces its search for a new president and chief executive officer. This search comes on the heels of the resignation of Owen McCulloch as President and CEO. Mr. McCulloch cites family concerns as reason for his departure. McCulloch has been based at fraternity headquarters in Carmel, IN, while his family has remained in Florida where his children are enrolled in school.

“We’re sorry to see Owen leave the fraternity staff,” said Rich Ritter, Grand Senior President (head of the Fraternity’s volunteer board). “The nature of the CEO position demands a lot of time beyond typical working hours, and it’s hard to juggle that with family being some distance away.”

Thomas Hinkley, a 1984 initiate of Alpha Sigma Phi’s Chapter at Indiana University and past chief executive of the national fraternity, has assumed the position of interim CEO. Ritter of Columbus, OH will lead the search for Mr. McCulloch’s replacement.
