For more than 160 years, Alpha Sigma Phi has used a variety of symbols and insignia to outwardly express our Values of Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism.  In 2007 the Fraternity and Educational Foundation developed a Style Guide to help ensure that our message and image were accurately and consistently expressed across all mediums.

The guide provides graphic identity standards for Fraternity Headquarters, Chapters, and all affiliate organizations (i.e. Chapter Councils, Associations, and House Corporations).  For specific rules of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and word usage, the Fraternity and Foundation have adopted the guidelines of The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

The manual will help you present consistent messages about Alpha Sigma Phi’s Vision, Purpose, and key messages:
  • To Better the Man
  • Give Yourself Every Advantage
  • We Invest in the Lives of Men
When designing new pieces for Alpha Sigma Phi, please refer to our guide for:
  • Official Alpha Sigma Phi graphic identity
  • Use of the graphic identity
  • Use of other support elements
Following these guidelines will help make your communication efforts easy, attractive, and effective.  Please contact Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Headquarters should you need further instruction regarding the use of the visual identity or assistance developing your communications.
