Each year, the Educational Foundation and its Board of Directors reports on the year’s donations, liabilities, and net assets. “2008 proved to be a good year for Alpha Sigma Phi Educational Foundation,” said President and CEO L. Gale Wilkerson, Delta Tau Delta ’66. “A record number of donors stepped forth.”

The Foundation raised more than $1 million in 2008 from 1,634 donors. From that the Foundation granted $357,595 to Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Inc. for its educational and leadership programs and scholarships.

In a year of economic hardship, Alpha Sigma Phi saw applications increase for the Ralph F. Burns Leadership – the Fraternity’s premier leadership programs for its newest brothers – and for its scholarships for undergraduate and graduate brothers. Support from brothers and friends of Alpha Sigma Phi help provide these programs and scholarships to Better the Man.
