How To Get Involved PDF Print E-mail

History has taught us that successful chapters and colonies have engaged alumni. In August of 2006, the Fraternity completely realigned the function and purpose of its alumni entities; creating four distinct "groups" or "associations" that would act in the best interest of their individual chapter's or colony's, thus benefiting the Fraternity as a whole.

A Chapter Council’s primary role is to advise and mentor the undergraduate officers by providing a mature perspective to the undergraduate chapter. Advisors are future focused and proactive in nature. These advisors provide strategic leadership rather than administrative duties. Members serve a two year term volunteering 4-6 hours a month.

A Grand Chapter Advisor’s primary role is to chair the Chapter Council and be the senior most volunteer. He is the primary liaison between the undergraduate chapter, chapter council, Greek Advisor and Headquarters Staff. He maintains relationships with all other affiliate organizations and mentors the undergraduate president. He serves a two year time volunteering 6-10 hours a month.

An Association’s primary role is to provide support for the benefit of their respective colony or chapter and chapter council through coordination of events and fundraisers. They also provide activities and events to support interaction among the alumni members of a chapter.

A Housing Corporation’s primary role is to act as a landlord and provide a housing solution for the undergraduate members. They operate as separate entities under the corporation laws of their State.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like to learn more about becoming an advisor, please contact Denis Beaudoin at Fraternity Headquarters.
