Every year, Alpha Sigma Phi recognizes the outstanding contributions of undergraduates, alumni, chapters, and friends who help keep Alpha Sigma Phi moving ever forward. Take a moment to review the list of awards open for nomina¬tions. Know an alumnus advisor who has been particularly helpful to your chapter? How about parents or family mem¬bers who’ve made a difference? A Greek Advisor? A great undergraduate brother?

Just click the link for a nomination form for each of the awards listed. Please take time to make sure these valuable people get the recognition they deserve!

  • Delta Beta Xi Award – given each year to no more than 10 alumni for sustained volunteer service to the Fraternity.
  • Evin C. Varner Jr. Distinguished Service Award – given to an alumnus who is a past recipient of the Delta Beta Xi Award for his continued contributions to the fraternity. This is the highest honor one of our brother’s can receive.
  • Distinguished Merit Award – given to an alumnus in recognition of extraordinary achievements and accomplishments in his profession.
  • Dr. Otto L. Sonder Advisor of the Year Award – given to an advisor (GCA or Chapter Council Member) for outstanding service and dedication to the chapter.
  • Larry D. Phillipi Award – given to a Greek Life professional for dedication to the “Greek movement” and/or Alpha Sigma Phi. Oak Wreath Award of Distinction – Given to a parent/family member for exceptional contributions to Alpha Sigma Phi.
  • Frank F. Hargear Award – the highest honor an undergraduate brother can receive for outstanding service to the values and purpose of Alpha Sigma Phi.
  • Chapter Awards and Citations – awarded based on information submitted in each chapter’s Annual Report.

This year's awards applications are available on the Fraternity's website.  Just click on Quick Link in the upper right hand corner to download any of this year's applicaitons.  All applications and nominations are due by April 15, 2010.
