CARMEL, INDIANA - Brother Nicholas Gordon, Cornell ’10 was appointed to serve as one of the three Undergraduate members of the Grand Council. He was sworn into his position as part of the Ritual Exemplification at Elevate - National Leadership Conference in Bowling Green, Ohio on July 30, 2011. Brother Gordon’s term will conclude at Elevate: National Leadership Conference in the summer of 2013.
“I’m incredibly honored to have been selected to serve on the Grand Council. I’m looking forward to serving during this incredible time to be an Alpha Sig”, Nicholas Gordon.
Brother Gordon is a junior at Cornell University where he plans to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations and a Minor in Economics. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, Nicholas graduated Salutatorian in his class of 721 and has continued his academic excellence as a member of the Dean’s List multiple terms at Cornell University.
Beyond academics, Brother Gordon is actively involved with the Iota Chapter. Brother Gordon currently serves as President of the Iota Chapter and prior to his election as President, he was the Interfraternity Council Representative, Kitchen Steward, Standards Board Sophomore Class Representative and Sustainability Chairman.
Fraternity President and CEO, Gordy Heminger remarked, “Nick brings a tremendous set of experiences and a unique perspective to the Grand Council as an undergraduate leader from one of our oldest chapters. He’ll be a great addition to the Grand Council and in conjunction with Grand Councilor Roux and DeDimincantanio, will provide a strong voice for undergraduates on the Council.”
For Alumni and Undergraduates interested in applying to be on the Grand Council, the application process will be available on the Fraternity website in January 2012.
