for Accounting and Operations Position
Opportunity to
work for leading not-for-profit foundation.
The Alpha
Sigma Phi Foundation is seeking a full-time Accountant and Operations Director
to assist the Foundation’s CEO in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of
financial information and analyzing and interpreting the information detailing
assets, liabilities and capital to ensure that CEO and the Board of Directors
have accurate information to make sound business decisions. The position is located in Carmel, Indiana. Some of the
duties are:
- Maintains general ledger, including
all account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries.
- Performs various accounting/analytical
projects as assigned by management.
- Works with vendors to identify cost
savings opportunities.
- Manages payroll and benefits,
including managing relationship with ADP and third party administrators.
- Performs month end closing activities
and generates monthly financial statement and supporting schedules.
- Manages auditors and annual audit.
- Works with third party firm to
register as fundraisers in all States.
- Ensures compliance with IRS reporting
guidelines.
- Researches accounting rules and
regulations on an ongoing basis and proactively makes recommendations as
it pertains to company policy.
- Manages facility and tenant contracts.
- Database Management.
- Manages Foundaiton contributions.
Ideal
candidates should have three or more years of experience in
accounting and a BS in Accounting or related field; experience with non-profit
fund accounting highly preferred.
